ROLFING SERVICES - SANTA BARBARA, CA

Basic Rolfing® Series

Rolfing Structural Integration strives to align and balance the body’s components until the entire system is a smoothly functioning coordinated whole. For example, the legs are aligned to the hips, shoulders to rib cage, the body is positioned over the feet, and then all of these joints and related tissue are integrated to one another. A few of the many benefits people have experienced are reduced pain, increased flexibility, an enhanced sense of body awareness, and improved posture. The basic Rolfing series consists of 10 or more sessions (depending upon each person’s medical history).

Advanced Rolfing® Series

The Advanced Rolfing series builds upon the changes created during the Basic Rolf series, focusing on the pelvic and shoulder girdles and spinal dynamics. The advanced training is a specialized training that a Certified Rolfer is encouraged to take after several years of practice.

The Major goals of the Advanced  Training are:

  • Develop a systematic approach to mobilizing all the major joints of the body.
  • A way of developing a more gentle and precise sense of touch.
  • A more comprehensive approach to evaluating the whole person.
  • How to design sessions for the immediate needs of your client.

Mentoring & Training

An opportunity to explore areas of development both in understanding structure and movement as well as Rolfing® technique and strategy.

THIS IS THE GOSPEL OF ROLFING: WHEN THE BODY GETS WORKING APPROPRIATELY, THE FORCE OF GRAVITY CAN FLOW THROUGH. THEN THE BODY CAN HEAL ITSELF.

Somatic Coaching

Somatic Coaching utilizes the unique and often subtle language that is unspoken: that there are body cues; a breathe, a turn of the head,a tense area in a shoulder, a gesture, often associated with a painful experience that lodges inside our protective  neuromuscular webbing. Somatic coaching accesses these pre language signals to better understand who we are and how we feel.

Public Speaking Coaching

Everyone is public speaking all the time. Whether with one person or many. The Wall Street Journal calls effective public speaking a major key to success. As a public speaking coach Santa Barbara based Rich Goodstein helps individuals and groups become more effective communicators and presenters, by helping them overcome their anxiety and nervousness and to learn about how to effectively use verbal and non-verbal communication skills to reach their audience and to deliver their message.

Therapeutic Yoga Clinics

Therapeutic Yoga combines restorative yoga (supported postures), breath-work, hands-on healing, and guided meditation techniques that is a gentle and effective therapy, bringing the body into balance and reducing stress. The Therapeutic Yoga clinic is a two hour session for individuals and small groups of four participants.

Rich trained with Cheri Clampett 2009.
